Hi everyone, I have lupus nephritis and I just got diagnosed with shingles! It really sucks because it's in the back of my head, unilaterally on my left side. Can anyone give me some good advice, thoughts, mojo on how to deal with it? I'm currently getting treated with anti-virals and enough percocet to kill a small animal (j/k) so I just need to ride it out for now.

I wish I had some good advice. My mom had it, but I don't think there was a ton she was able to do for it besides antivirals. I really hope you will feel better soon.

Percocet is your friend - I had shingles for over a week before I was able to get some and it made a huge difference! My total bout lasted about two weeks - the best you can do is ride it out. Lots of showers helped the itching and tingling (the feel of the water on my back helped distract me from the feeling of my skin trying to crawl away).
